On 18 March 2026, Red Incola organised a training seminar in Valladolid as part of the European IMPACT Project, with a special focus on the education sector. During the event, five educators who had participated in the international IMPACT Training Workshop in February shared their experiences and practical tools for addressing the links between climate change and migration in the classroom.

The seminar brought together 43 participants, mainly teachers, alongside social sector professionals and volunteers, creating a valuable space for learning, dialogue, and reflection. Discussions highlighted the growing need to address the complex relationship between climate change and migration through education and a human rights-based approach.

Participants were introduced to the IMPACT publication and the Educational Toolkit, a practical resource designed for teachers, youth workers, and social professionals. The toolkit includes activities, participatory methods, and discussion exercises aimed at promoting critical thinking, empathy, and a deeper understanding of climate-induced migration among young people.

The event received very positive feedback, with participants particularly valuing the practical usefulness of the toolkit and the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues. More than 80% expressed interest in taking part in future IMPACT activities, demonstrating the importance of continuing to create spaces for training and dialogue on these pressing global challenges.

Red Incola would like to thank all participating schools and partner organisations for their commitment and contribution to building a more informed, inclusive, and sustainable society.
